Joan Powers
Joan was born in Manila, Philippines then traveled to the U.S, at the age of five and grew up on the island of Oahu. In the beginning of her acting career, Joan started as a background actor on several television episodes and major features that filmed in Hawaii.
After joining SAG-AFTRA, she started auditioning for speaking roles which led her to study with acting teachers Sally Jackson, Eric Nemoto and currently Robert Zimmerman & Peter Allas of Z/A Studio.
Joan is known for her co-star role in NCIS Hawaii, a principal role in the Hallmark movie Hidden Gems, co-star role in Magnum P.I and co-star role in Ala Moana Boys.
This is her second production at TAG Theater. Joan would like to thank her husband Joe for continuing to support her acting endeavors.
